Bookbinding & Paper Arts
Making Books by Hand, with Intention
About this course
Before printing presses, every book was a handmade object — stitched, covered, and finished by a craftsperson who cared. This course teaches the essential bookbinding structures: the Japanese stab bind, the Coptic stitch, and the case-bound book with full cloth covers. You will come away with books you made with your own hands, and a deep understanding of how these containers for thought are constructed.

What students are saying
“This completely changed how I approach my creative practice. I didn't expect to cry during a watercolor lesson — but here we are.”
“I've bought a dozen online courses. This is the only one I've actually finished. The mindfulness integration makes it feel intentional, not just consumable.”
“Worth every penny and more. I go back to certain lessons the same way I return to favourite books. There's always something new.”
